11/09/2024 Coincidences or causalities?
Today, in Argentina, we celebrate Teacher’s Day, and tonight, in Minneapolis, a new chapter begins for me as I join the BFA Actor Training Program in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota. Much of my artistic work has taken place in the classroom. I’ve enjoyed both being guided and guiding and supporting others in their learning processes. Sometimes, I feel like “a lot of water has passed under the bridge,” and other times, I feel like I’m still the same girl from the neighborhood, putting on plays in friends’ backyards on summer afternoons. I’m thrilled to join the team of Anna in the Tropics, a beautiful play by the talented and prolific Nilo Cruz. I’m looking forward to working with this new and wonderful group, alongside Cooper Lajeunesse, Monty Hays, Lucinda Holshue, Joe Krienke, and Alli St. John. Thank you, Aaron Todd Douglas, for this opportunity.
Happy Teacher’s Day to all my teachers, and thanks always to my students, who allow me to keep learning.
