Being part

Being part

Yesterday, I stepped onto a stage far away from home and the stages of Buenos Aires, in Minneapolis, United States. An intense, magical, and unforgettable day for me. Suddenly, a new artistic community opened up before my eyes, welcoming me with a warmth I will never forget. Only I know what was running through my soul and body before the first day of rehearsals. ACTING IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE! is something that, as Lope de Vega says, “those who have tried it know.” I still can’t find the right words to express what I am experiencing. The neighborhood of my childhood comes to mind, the trips to the Conservatory on the Sarmiento train, my teachers, students, colleagues, friends, better or worse moments that this profession throws at you, my awards, publications, Spain, tours, and much more. I swirl in memories and reappear on a stage in the United States acting in a foreign language. As Camus says: “In the midst of winter, I discovered that there was, within me, an invincible summer.” Eternally grateful to this wonderful artistic community that welcomed me with open arms, allowing me to be part of it. It is my wish that this work is only the prologue to a long shared journey. I finally understood that in leaving, I wasn’t losing but adding, expanding my world and also connecting, building bridges. I AM VERY HAPPY!”
